South Africa to play its 1st Test series of World Test Championship

The T20I series between India and South Africa ended in a draw as the 1st T20I was washed out due to rain and both the teams shared the trophy, but now comes the real deal the longest format of the game i.e. Test Cricket and with the World Test Championship going on it is going to be much more thrilling and exciting.

India is leading the points table with 120 points after their 2-0 victory in the West Indies, on the other end, South Africa will play their 1st match of World Test Championship. The Indian national cricket team will be the more confident side as they are leading the chart and playing at home will be another advantage but for the Proteas, it will be difficult as they have not won a single Test in Asia since 2015 that is a long-time tough. Another problem that can arise for South Africa is their team selection as the Test side will be captained by Faf du Plessis it is not that big issue as they have faced the same in the T20Is as Quinton de Kock was captaining the side.

The Indian team already has got a big treat as their best bowler Jasprit Bumrah is ruled out of Test series due to the injury and Umesh Yadav is named the replacement for him.

On the 1st day of the 1st Test match, India won the toss and elected to bat. The Indian team openers ruled the 1st day and continuing that Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal went on to take the 300+ partnership on the 2nd day of the Test match. Currently, India has put 430+ runs on the scoreboard.
