• Exfoliation: Cleanse the affected area twice in a day and use mild soap and face wash. Do not apply cream or any anti-
biotic without cleaning it.
• Scrubbing: Do scrub, because cleansing is important but avoid doing it harshly, so that it does not irritate the skin. Use skin-friendly scrubs only, that suits your skin.
• Avoid the Touch: Do not pick or squeeze the acne, because it can make it worse. Leave the pimple alone and make sure to treat it with washed hands only.
• Avoid Male-up: Do not apply too much make-up if you have cystic acne. Putting on too much makeup may affect the cystic acne because the ingredient might worsen the acne. Avoid oily and comedogenic formulations rather prefer water-based products. Make sure to remove make-up and wash off the face before going to bed.
• Say NO to sour food: Strictly prohibit the consumption of sour food because they make the cyst even worse making it more red and more swelling appears.
Medication
Cystic acne is more intense and severe to be treated, so it might possible that simple basic treatment won't prevent it. If the cause is not known then you must consult your Dermatologist as he will help you find out the actual cause of the cyst. The cause could be found out easily by a blood test. The type of treatment, whether prescription medication or surgical removal depends upon the cause.
